Scrum half Carter Pritchard grabbed a first half try but Dragons Under-18s fell to a 64-7 defeat to Scarlets Under-18s in the Regional Age Grade Championship at Parc y Scarlets.
Pritchard grabbed an early score behind a powerful maul as the young Dragons kept in touch.
But in the second half the hosts pulled clear to wrap up a convincing victory.
Dragons Under-18s are next in action when they face Cardiff at Ystrad Mynach on Sunday, February 4.
